Part D — Prescription Drug Coverage

Don't leave your prescriptions uncovered. We help you find the right drug plan for your specific medications — at no cost to you.

Prescription drug coverage for Medicare beneficiaries.

Medicare Part D adds prescription drug coverage to Original Medicare. It's offered through private insurance companies approved by Medicare. Without Part D coverage, you're responsible for 100% of your prescription drug costs — and the late enrollment penalty can follow you for life.

We review your specific medications against each plan's formulary (drug list) to find the plan that gives you the best coverage at the lowest cost. Every prescription matters.

Standalone PDP vs. MAPD

Standalone PDP

A Part D plan used alongside Original Medicare or a Medigap policy. You have two separate plans — one for medical, one for drugs.

MAPD (Medicare Advantage + Drug)

Drug coverage bundled into a Medicare Advantage plan. One plan, one card. Great if you're already considering Medicare Advantage. Learn about Advantage →

2026 Highlight: The $2,100 Out-of-Pocket Cap

Starting in 2025 and fully phased in by 2026, Medicare beneficiaries have a $2,100 annual cap on out-of-pocket drug costs — a landmark change from the Inflation Reduction Act. This makes Part D coverage more valuable than ever. See all 2026 updates →
